    The Story...

    When we first discovered this property back in 2004... to say it needed some work would be an understatement! But despite the poor condition of the property, we decided that this was the one. The "feeling" was undeniable.

    From the moment we first approached the front door and walked across the inner courtyard we just knew that this house was special. We'd never seen anything else like it. The windows are what really give this home its character and provide such an abundance of light, and the backyard pool is our favourite place to hang out during the summer.

    It was the process of transforming the "house" into our "home" that was the most rewarding, and it was only after the renovations were complete and we had finally settled in the home that we really started to discover the true magic within these walls.

    In 2012 our home received an award for Architectural Heritage recognizing the home's unique design (designed by acclaimed Montreal architects Irving Caruso and Bernard Rosen)

    All of the neighbouring homes that surround the park on Highridge make up this micro-community and it's hard not to become part of it.

    The neighbours are like an extension of our family sometimes, and you just can't put a value on that. It's priceless.

    Now that our kids are growing up we realize that we've finally outgrown this home. Our twin teenage daughters are still sharing a bedroom and we decided that we could really use a little more space as a family.

    As sad as we are to say goodbye to a place we've called home for the past 15 years, we understand that every story must come to an end, and that now is the time for a new chapter to begin at 265 Acorn Ridge.
