The Story of 33 Bethune

A NEIGHBOURHOOD FULL OF POSSIBILITIES

We bought our home in 1984 when we were a young couple with a one-year-old daughter. It was a house yet to be built in a new neighbourhood full of possibilities. There were no trees, no landscaping, just a lot of young families from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, the neighbourhood has matured with us, many of our original neighbours are still here, and we all watch out for each other.

We have made many changes to our home, including kitchen and bathroom renovations, finishing the basement, and adding an extension. The backyard is our oasis, a place of tranquility where we can hear the water flowing into the pond and the birds singing.

The neighbourhood has also grown with us, and we absolutely love the location. We are close to so many amenities such as the nearby Kirkland Arena, Excellence Ice and Meads Park.

There are also several great schools nearby including Kuper Academy, a private English school that runs from pre-school to grade 11 as well as Saint Thomas and Felix Leclerc High Schools.

Now that we're retired and a new chapter opens up for us, we find ourselves with conflicting emotions. We hope someone else will enjoy raising their family in this home that has given us such wonderful memories with our daughter, our grandchildren, and our family and friends.
