In 1979 we were living in Pt. Aux Trembles in a new house, and our oldest son was now ready to start Kindergarten. We wanted him to go to English school and discovered that there was no English school nearby and no busing from our house to the nearest school. We would have had to put him in a taxi! This was not an option so we decided to move to a more anglophone area with English schools around and we started looking in Pointe Claire.  

 There was not much on the market at that time and we did not find any house that we felt would work for us. Then some friends told us about a house that would be coming on the market and told us they could arrange for us to visit it. We went to see the house one evening and finding out that there were English schools within walking distance, as this was our #1 priority, we made an offer and bought the house. We did not go back to see it again until we took possession. The first time we saw our new house in the daytime we were amazed and delighted to see the wonderful big backyard backing on Terra Cotta Park. This was a real bonus.

 After moving in we discovered other attractions in the neighbourhood. The local pool where our 2 sons spent many hours during the summers and participated in swim teams and other activities offered by the pool. Then the Pointe Claire shopping centre with all it has to offer is nearby, and the iconic Pointe Claire Village. Pointe Claire’s renowned indoor pool is also close by and the arena. We are also located within easy access to both highways. In fact, we are surrounded with amenities and facilities perfect for family life.

 The house has suited us well and we added a Family Room in 1979 as we needed the extra space with our 2 growing boys. They spent many hours playing in the large backyard and into Terra Cotta Park.

My sons are grown up and have now moved out and sadly my husband passed away a few years ago, and now it is time for me to move on. I am sure a new family will enjoy everything this property has to offer as much as we did.
